Former UN ambassador to run for Congress Jacksonville resident, UNF professor Nancy Soderberg to run in District 6

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Nancy Soderberg, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations under President Bill Clinton and current professor at the University of North Florida, has filed to run for Florida's 6th Congressional District next year.
The seat, that includes part of St. Johns, Flagler and Volusia counties, is currently represented by Ron DeSantis, a Republican from Palm Coast. Political insiders have speculated that he may run for governor rather than seek a third term in Congress.
Soderberg, a Democrat, is expected to make a formal announcement soon.
