Jeb Bush to partner with lobbying firm

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has agreed to become a “strategic consultant” for the lobbying firm Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney.

A news release Monday said Bush will team with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney through his consulting firm Jeb Bush & Associates.

"We live in a complex business and political environment, and I believe that putting my knowledge and experience together with Buchanan's professional acumen will help Buchanan's clients grow and prosper,” Bush said in a prepared statement.

Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's lobbying clients include companies and groups such as DraftKings, Inc.; FanDuel, Inc.; the Florida League of Cities; the Florida Police Chiefs Association; State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co.; Universal Orlando; and U.S. Sugar Corp.

Bush is a former two-term governor who unsuccessfully ran this year for the Republican presidential nomination.

Some Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney lobbyists, including Mike Harrell, Jim Magill and J.M. "Mac" Stipanovich, have longstanding ties to Bush.
