Alexis Manigo, kidnapped as infant, arrives in Jacksonville

Manigo, family celebrated father's birthday Saturday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Family told News4JAX that Kamiyah Mobley, who now goes by the name Alexis Manigo, arrived in Jacksonville Saturday night.

Manigo was kidnapped at birth 18 years ago. On Saturday, she met with her biological family at the Vibe Nightclub on Philips Highway. They were celebrating her father, Craig Aiken's birthday.

Family said Manigo is happy to be back in Jacksonville. She said all of her paternal family members were at the club and getting to know her better.

"Everybody is just really loving on her. Everybody is just really happy that she's here," Teena Gee, Alexis Manigo's brother's teacher, said. "It's a blessing that she's here."

Media was not allowed into the club. News4Jax asked Gee what was next for the family and Manigo.

"This has been a journey for her," Gee said. "I'm sure she just wants everyone to give her some space and some time to really adjust to everything that's going on."

It's unclear how long Manigo will be in town, or if she is moving back.
