JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man is dead following an hours-long standoff with police in Riverside.
Chief Pat Ivey with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said an unidentified man was involved in a domestic dispute with a woman at the Riviera Parkway apartments on St. Johns Avenue Sunday evening.

Police were called around 6 p.m. and found the man dead inside the apartment around 1 a.m. Monday.
Several streets were blocked off while police negotiated with the individual.
Chief Ivey said officers heard a single gunshot and used a robotic camera to look inside the apartment and found the man dead.
