Teenager injured in Westside shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are searching for suspects after a teenager was shot in the leg.

Police said the shooting happened on the Westside on Bennington Drive, near Timuquana Road and 110th Street.

The teen was taken to UF Health with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses said they heard three or four shots. One bullet hit a car door, but no one in the car was injured, according to police.

Police said they do not have any leads at this time.
