JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A 38-year-old Fernandina Beach woman's body was found in a garage in the 1500 block of West 7th Street in the Durkeeville area late Wednesday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

"Patrol officers responded to the home around 10 p.m. in reference to a possible body found.  When they arrived, they went to a garage at a vacant house. When they looked inside, they found the body of a small-framed female," according to Sgt. T.K. Waters with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Thursday afternoon, police identified the victim as Kimberly Davis.  Investigators did not know how long the woman's body had been there and there were no apparent wounds on the body, but they suspect foul play in her death.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office spoke to the homeowners. They told officers they didn't know how the body got there.
