JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Harold Martin, 53, of Brunswick, Georgia, was killed Friday night when he was struck by a car as he walked across the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 near the Emerson Street exit.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Martin was walking from his disabled vehicle that was in the emergency lane just before 9:30 p.m. when he walked into the path of a 2011 Mercedes C300.

Jacksonville Fire-Rescue was called, but Martin died at the scene.
According to the FHP report, charges are pending.
