JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A pedestrian died early Friday morning in a crash on Interstate 95 northbound on the ramp to Martin Luther King Parkway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office had received several calls about a person lying in the outside lane at 2:49 a.m. when the person was hit by a Ford Mustang driven by a Middleburg man. The person hit was taken to UF Health Jacksonville, where he died. The victim's name was not released pending notification of next of kin.
