I-10 at US 301 lane closures scheduled overnight to relocate crane

Construction crews moving 275-ton crawler crane across I-10

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – As part of the Interstate 10 and U.S. 301 interchange improvements, construction crews will be relocating a 275-ton crawler crane between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m. Wednesday from the south side of the roadway to the north side to continue interchange improvements, the Florida Department of Transportation said.

East and westbound lane closures on I-10 between Yellow Water Road (County Road 217) and U.S. 301 will be in place in order for the crane to be relocated.

Law enforcement officers will also be on-site to assist with traffic.

The $65 million interchange improvements are expected to be completed in summer 2019. FDOT urged drivers to be aware of heavy equipment and stay within the limits of the orange cones and barrels.
