Textbook tornado outbreak, as upper-level low pressure that impacted California with record breaking rains and snow moved along the Gulf Coast when January temperatures were in the 80s.

And these are just preliminary numbers, not known yet is the number of homeless and homes destroyed, total dollar loss and potential economic loss to Adel and Albany, Georgia.

Possible Tornado or high winds kills Lake City woman. I suspect the National Weather Service may look into this as witnesses suggest that a tornado was nearby.

EF1 Tornado travels 17 miles right through Camden County, image if it had been Duval? St. Johns? Clay?

Sunday evening, with the main cold front, came a series of radar indicated tornadoes. Two to the south of Jacksonville, one began in Clay County and traveled into St. Johns County (near the World Golf Village) and another tornado that traveled across the entire state of Florida, from the Gulf Coast to Palm Coast (Flagler County).

But, to me, the scary one was the EF1 tornado that traveled 17 miles cutting right across Camden County. Starting near Lake City, but organizing over the Okefenokee swamp, near Folkston, it touched down and then traveled to near Sea Island, Georgia where it dissipated just before reaching a populated area. Whew!
