ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – An 11-year-old is recovering in the hospital after an ATV accident in Union County on Monday evening.
The Alachua County Fire and Rescue got the call at 10:05 p.m. in reference to a 11-year-old girl involved in a 4-wheeling accident.

The accident happened in Union County and the girl's parents were in the process of driving her to hospital when they called 911 and rescue crews picked the girl up on 29100 State Road 121 in Lacross.
Authorities said two ATVs struck one another.
The girl was wearing a helmet, according to ACFR. She was transported to Shands in Gainesville with life-threatening injuries.
