2 men arrested in separate incidents at Duval County Courthouse

1 arrested for drug possession; 1 arrested for contempt of court

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – With the closely watched Michael Dunn retrial taking place in the Duval County Courthouse, two men not connected to the Dunn trial were arrested in separate incidents at the courthouse on Thursday.

Robert Reynolds, 48, was chased out of the courthouse, arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.

According to the arrest report, Reynolds was going through security and emptied his pockets and a security noticed a marijuana cigarette in Reynolds' belongings.

Reynolds tried to grab the marijuana cigarette back, then ran out of the courthouse and was tackled by an officer.

About an hour earlier, 22-year-old Roy Davis of Ohio was in Judge James Daniel's courtroom, when he started taking pictures with his cellphone.

According to the arrest report, Davis was ordered to stop and approach the bench but refused.

An officer pulled out his Taser gun and put the red dot on Davis' chest, and he then complied and was handcuffed.

Davis then began to claim he is a sovereign citizen.

He was sentenced by Daniel to 90 days in jail for felony contempt of court.
