JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are investigating after a child was hit by a car early Wednesday afternoon in the 6000 block of Wilson Boulevard.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the boy was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with serious injuries.

Officers said the boy was running across the road and the driver of the car could not stop in time.
