Callahan man wins $1M in scratch-off game

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Michael White, 60, of Callahan, claimed a $1 million prize in from a srach-off came at the Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

White chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $734,285.69. He purchased the winning 100X The Cast ticket from Tiger Food Store at 450018 State Road 200 in Callahan. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $25 ticket offers top prizes of $1 million and $5 million. Fifteen of the 54 $1 million prizes and two $5 million prizes remain to be won. The game's overall odds of winning are one-in-2.86.

Scratch-off games comprising about 64 percent of Florida Lottery ticket sales and generate more than $640 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund in fiscal year 2013-14.
