CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – Two little children are still in a hospital Thursday after miraculously surviving a deadly car accident that claimed the lives of five people in Clay County.
Troopers said that the crash took place on State Road 21 when the car carrying the kids, their parents and two other people crossed the center line of the road and hit another car head-on, killing 24-year-old Chelsea Johnson.

Amanda Eden is the aunt of 2-year-old Madison Eden and her brother, 4-year-old Daniel Eden, and just a week ago, she would never have imagined that her niece and nephew would be fighting for their lives.
"These kids are more than just your normal niece and nephew relationship. I don't want to generalize that, but they're very close to the kids, as well," Amanda Eden said.
Eden said she was notified about the crash several hours after the fact. In all, five adults were killed including the children's' parents, 24-year-old Brandy Eden and 29-year-old Daniel Eden. Eden said the family had recently moved to Florida from West Virginia and had even stayed with her and her husband.
"That's why this has just shattered our world. Because they lived with us and now they're not there, you know?" Amanda Eden said.
Madison and Daniel Eden were transported to Wolfson Children's hospital, where Madison Eden was treated for broken bones in her wrists and a broken femur. Her brother has broken bones and swelling in his brain. Doctors are keeping a close eye on him over the next day or so.

Despite her pain, Amanda Eden said knowing the community is there supporting her family makes a world of difference, especially for the children.
"When they grow up, they will know that and see that. I'm sure they're going to feel very empty without their parents, and to know that people who don't even know them will go out of their way to provide this for them is just a miracle to us," Amanda Eden said.
Amanda Eden also said that her thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of everyone impacted by this.
