ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A 54-year-old St. Johns County man was arrested Saturday on three counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition on victims younger than 16.
Deputies said Melvin Soto is accused of exposing his genitals to three young girls, two age 12 and one 11, while they were in a swimming competition lap pool July 27 at the Aquatic Center and Clubhouse, 350 Julington Club Parkway.

Deputies said the girls tried to swim away and Soto followed them. They then got out of the pool and ran into the clubhouse to report the incident to a staff member, deputies said.
When the girls tried to point Soto out, he gathered his belongings and exited through the clubhouse and refused to stop when confronted by staff members, deputies said.
Deputies said they identified Soto two days later and he was positively identified through a photo lineup. They said a warrant was obtained Friday and Soto was arrested Saturday.
He was released from jail Saturday afternoon on $45,000 bond.
