Florida man charged with advertising for child porn, US attorneys say

Russell Orr faces minimum penalty of 15 years in federal prison

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Pasco County man has been indicted by a federal grand jury and charged with eight counts of advertising for child pornography, U.S. attorneys said Friday.

If convicted, Russell Lee Orr, 39, faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years (up to 30 years) in federal prison, according to U.S. attorneys.

Orr was arrested Thursday at his home in Trinity, Florida.

U.S. attorneys said following his initial court appearance and a detention hearing later that same day, he was ordered detained.

Orr also faces a potential life term of supervision, U.S. attorneys said.
