Man in critical condition after being ejected from vehicle

BAKER COUNTY, Fla. – A Glen St. Mary man is in critical condition in the hospital after he was ejected from his vehicle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Steven Thomas, 26, was driving on Noah Raulerson Road near County Road 125 in Baker County early Sunday morning, when for unknown reasons, his vehicle traveled off the road.

Thomas attempted to reenter the roadway when the vehicle overturned, ejecting him from the vehicle.

He was transported to Shands Medical Center in Jacksonville, where he remains in critical condition.

Adam Hunter, 24, was a passenger in the vehicle and received minor injuries. He was treated at the scene.

Neither were wearing seat belts and FHP is investigating whether alcohol played a factor in this crash, according to the FHP report.
