2 men, 2 teens injured in early morning crash

SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. – Two men and two teenagers from Columbia County were injured in an early morning crash in Suwannee County.

Phillip Miller, 18, of White Springs, was driving a Toyota on 290th Street at 3:30 a.m.

He said he swerved to avoid a deer and lost control on a curve.

The Toyota went off the road, flipped and struck several trees.

There were three passengers in the vehicle: 18-year-old Tyler Brasfield, 16-year-old Rachael Tardif and 15-year-old Alexis Cason, all of Lake City.

All of them were transported to Lake City Medical Center with serious injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol report said the driver was wearing a seatbelt but the passengers were not.
