Persons of interest named in fatal Orlando restaurant shooting

Adriel McKee, Glenn Lamar Quick sought in connection to worker's death

ORLANDO, Fla – Orange County deputies on Thursday named two persons of interest in the fatal shooting of a woman at an Orlando restaurant.

Deputies are searching for Adriel McKee, 17, and Glenn Lamar Quick II, 33, in the death of 53-year-old Ying Jie Sun, who worked at China Wok on Silver Star Road.

The shooting happened just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when a masked gunman stormed into the China Wok restaurant on Silver Star Road near Pine Hills Road.

"When he came up to one of the workers, there was a language barrier," said Orange County Sheriff spokeswoman Jane Watrel. "She didn't understand what he was saying and he shot her in the head."

Another worker was pistol-whipped in the incident and taken to a hospital. She suffered minor injuries. Sun died at Orlando Regional Medical Center Thursday morning, according to deputies.

Both McKee and Quick are known to frequent the area of Silver Star Road and North Pine Hills Road, deputies said. McKee has faced at least a dozen charges over the last year, including aggravated assault with a firearm, attempted first degree murder, carjacking and grand theft.

Restaurant customers gathered to pay their respects by placing flowers at the door on Thursday.

"She was a sweet wonderful lady. She had a kind heart, and she was always looking out for the kids," said customer Billy Vilsant.

Anyone with information about the shooting or the whereabouts of McKee and Quick is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
