JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 31-year-old man was sentenced Wednesday to 45 years in prison for a November 2013 shooting.
The Office of the State Attorney said Arthur Lee Britt and the victims were attending a birthday party on Merseyside Avenue when one of the victims got upset and asked everyone to leave after Britt made insulting comments.

Officials said as the victims walked outside Britt confronted them and began shooting at them, striking one victim in the leg. Another victim was grazed by a bullet.
Britt was convicted in January of two counts of second-degree attempted murder and one count of attempted manslaughter.
