JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man is recovering in the hospital after he was shot in the hip in Northwest Jacksonville Tuesday evening.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a man walked himself to UF Health with a gunshot wound to his hip that was non-life threatening.

The man told police an unknown gray vehicle shot him on West 13th Street near Canal Street. He said he heard three or four gunshots but was struck one time.
The Violent Crimes Task Force is investigating the drive-by shooting.
