JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police called to a report of shots fired Monday night at 103rd Street and LaVentura Drive found a man shot to death in the backyard of an abandoned home.
According to Jacksonville Sheriff's Office homicide detectives, the man was shot about 10:20 p.m. They are not sure if he was shot where he was found or at a nearby shopping center and ended up in the yard.

"We haven't even identified the victim at this point," said Sgt. Michael Paul. "Until we do that, we won't know if any of this is connected to anything gang-related or anything of that nature."
