EWC President and former Jacksonville Sheriff Nat Glover accepted the donation.

During the ceremony, Glover described his long friendship with Pajcic and his late brother, Gary, who chaired his campaigns for sheriff.

Steve Pajcic recalled how he, his brother and Glover grew up not far from each other and not very far from EWC.

Now he and his wife are helping the college with its future.

"For anne and me, it's really -- we've had such a blessed life, and this gift is a blessing," Pajcic said. "It's a way to recognize Nat and what he's done and to honor my brother, Gary, but most importantly, to help the disadvantaged and challenged youth of Jacksonville and give them an opportunity to have the educational advantages we've had."

The Pajcics didn't put any specific restrictions on this gift, allowing it to be used to bring in faculty, give students scholarships, or any other needs the school has.
