JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The driver of a pickup truck in the hit-and-run death of a 22-year-old man outside the Jacksonville Landing in August has been charged with misdemeanor DUI.
Brian Patterson, 32, of Macclenny, had a blood alcohol content level of .127, according to a police report.

Channel 4 Crime Analyst Ken Jefferson said he's not surprised that police are being tight-lipped, because there are some details that must be kept quiet.
"You must understand that this case was somewhat complicated because you're talking to people who have been at a bar who were there drinking and they've got to ask some questions over and over again, " Jefferson said.
He was driving when Taylor Evans, an innocent bystander, was struck by the pickup while standing in a parking lot across the street from the Landing, police said.
Attorney John Kalil, who is representing the Evans family, told Channel 4 that the family is holding up the best they can.
"They obviously haven't gotten over it, obviously are still going through a very difficult time. A very difficult time to understand what happened and what's taken place, it came as a total shock to them obviously, very disappointed," Kalil said.
Police have already charged Greg Johnson (pictured right) with felony murder because they said he was assaulting Patterson through an open window while Patterson was driving and trying to get away.
Police said the fight was the continuation of an altercation that began as people were leaving Maverick's Rock N' Honky Tonk at the Landing about 2:15 a.m. on Aug. 14.
Johnson, 26, pleaded not guilty last month.
