FBI: Child porn found on Palm Coast man's computer

Agents said man was holding samurai swords when confronted

PALM COAST, Fla. – A Palm Coast man could face 20 years in federal prison after he was charged Wednesday with receiving child pornography over the internet, the Department of Justice said.

On Tuesday, FBI investigators searched 21-year-old Kamil Mezalka's home. When they got there, Mezalka was in his bedroom in his underwear and was holding a two-handed samurai sword that he stabbed into the side of a computer, according to a criminal complaint.

After Mezalka refused to put the sword down, agents detained him and after searching his computer, arrested him. Agents found that his computer had hundreds of files depicting the sexual abuse of children as young as eight-years-old.

If convicted, Mezalka faces a minimum of five years and up to 20 years in federal prison. A detention hearing is set for May 11.
