Man sought after robbing Mandarin Publix pharmacy

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police in Jacksonville are looking for a man they said robbed a Publix pharmacy Thursday morning.

Officers were called to the store in the 10500 block of San Jose Boulevard in Mandarin about 9:20 a.m.

They said the man entered the store, went to the pharmacy and demanded a prescription narcotic from employees. Police said he threatened to shoot an employee if his demands were not met and made a motion as if to pull a gun.

The man obtained the narcotic and fled the store, police said.
