St. Johns County deputies seek info in 2 shootings

WEST AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office are seeking information into several incidents of gun violence last week.

During one incident that occurred just before 10 p.m. Nov. 20, someone drove a vehicle through the area of Christopher and Aiken streets and discharged a firearm several times.

No one was reported injured, and deputies found a shell casing in the area but were unable to find any witnesses near the scene.

The second incident happened just after midnight Wednesday at a home in the 400 block of South Nassau Street. Several shots struck an occupied home, but no injuries were reported.

Deputies said they met with the victims at the time and were able to process some evidence related to the shootings.

Investigators said that at this time, it's unknown if the two shootings are related, and detectives would like to speak with any witnesses to the gunfire incidents.
