Woman, 18, found dead inside San Pablo apartment

Police looking for teen's husband, Nissan Altima

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police suspect foul play in the death of an 18-year-old woman found Thursday morning inside apartment off San Pablo Road.

Investigators were called to the 2900 block of South Don Quixote Circle about 8:40 a.m., where they found Rosa Garcia dead. Police said her sister-in-law initially found her.

Detectives said they obtained a search warrant to conduct an investigation inside the apartment.

Homicide investigators said they're waiting on the Medical Examiner to give the determination on cause of death.

Police later said they were looking for Garcia's 20-year-old husband and a four-door, silver 2005-09 Nissan Altima with a temporary license plate. The husband's name was not immediately released.

Police said the two had a child, who was in the custody of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The child was OK.

"It makes me very uncomfortable. I have a 16-year-old, so it makes me very, very uncomfortable," neighbor Kerramm Evans said.

Anyone with any information about the killing is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
