JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 72-year-old man is charged with capital sexual battery on a child that Jacksonville police say began in 1964.
According to the arrest report, Edward Sundie was 22 years old when he sexually assaulted a 6-year-old girl. According to investigators, the rapes continued for seven years, until the victim was 13.

Sundie was arrested last week on a warrant obtained following a recorded phone call police set up between the victim and Sundie in January.
Sundie has been released on $100,000 bond, due back in court March 26 for his arraignment.
