The investigation revealed that Wright went to Bowser's home to get money to buy drugs. When Bowser refused to give him the money, Wright attacked Bowser and beat him to death with a hammer. Wright then stole money and Bowser's car and fled the scene, according to the investigation.

Wright faces life in prison without the possibility of parole. He will be sentenced Oct. 17.
