Man shot during argument

Victim suffered non life-threatening injuries, taken to hospital by family members

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man is recovering after being shot during an argument early Monday morning in Brentwood, according to police.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the victim was arguing with the suspect at a local gas station.

The suspect later shot the victim near the intersection of 19th Street and Silver Street around 2:50 a.m.

The victim was transported to UF Health Hospital by family members.

Police said the man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was shot somewhere on his lower body.

Aggravated battery detectives are in the early stages of the investigation and have not released who the suspect was at this time.
