ORLANDO, Fla. – Metal detectors are now permanent on certain rides at Universal Orlando.
The detectors became permanent within the past couple of weeks on rides including the Incredible Hulk Coaster, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit and Dragon Challenge.

Universal Orlando officials said there are no plans to install metal detectors at other rides at this point.
Guests can give the park loose change from their pockets if they choose to not return to a locker and store it. The change is donated to Give Kids the World, officials said.
The detectors were added to some rides to keep phones, cameras, selfie sticks, and more from flying off coasters and hurting people.
