5 children, 2 adults hurt in I-95 crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two children, three teenagers and two adults are in the hospital after a crash on Interstate 95 Saturday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP said an SUV lost control and drove off the highway into the woods.

Inside the car was a 10-month-old, a 5-year-old, three teenagers and two adults. They were all taken to UF Health Jacksonville.

Originally, their injuries were said to be life-threatening, but they have since been downgraded to non life-threatening.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
