JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two days after a mass shooting in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Jacksonville, just west of downtown, police wrapped up their gathering of physical evidence.
But there was no indication that investigators are any closer to identifying the gunmen who opened fire Sunday evening during a 21st birthday party for three women, shooting 11 people.

"Me and my wife was sitting on the porch there," said witness James Davis, who has lived in the neighborhood most of his life. "All I saw was they had a party down there, and people started shooting and everybody started running."
An 18-month-old girl who was shot has been upgraded to serious condition. The nine adults who were shot, two of whom were pregnant women, are expected to recover, although one of the women lost her unborn child.
Davis' next door neighbor was shot in the mouth.
Davis said he ran inside his home to get to safety, and the more than 100 others at the party also scrambled.
"They were just running. Running and hollering," Davis said.
Police said they finished gathering evidence in the shooting at about 2 a.m. Tuesday and later packed up their makeshift command center. Investigators spent nearly 29 hours set up in the neighborhood gathering those details.
Investigators said they have interviewed about 40 people who were at the party.
The description of the shooters is limited, and no arrests have been made.
"Yeah, I hope the police catch them. I really do," Davis said. "They didn't care nothing about the women. They didn't care nothing about the kids."
