Police investigate credit union robbery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Duval Federal Credit Union at  500 S. McDuff Ave. was held up Thursday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police said just before 10:30 a.m. a man entered the bank, went to a teller line and demanded money. The man, who was not wearing a mask and didn't cover his face, implied that he was armed and was given an undisclosed amount of money, according to police.

The man fled west down Edison Avenue on foot, police said.

The man is described as black with a full beard and thick build and was wearing a camouflage-style shirt and a ball cap.

Detectives are continuing to investigate and will release surveillance images to the media once they are available.
