JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are investigating a shooting Monday afternoon that likely happened on Edgewood Avenue near Cleveland Street, but police were called to Sunset Street, just south of West 5th Street.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a passenger in a car was shot about 1:12 p.m. He was transported to UF Health Jacksonville. The victim's name and condition were not immediately known.

The driver of the car was not injured.
Police said they were looking for a white Chevrolet Impala in connection with the shooting and JSO's violent crime task force is continuing to investigate.
