Police: Nothing suspicious in 2 Westside packages

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Traffic is back to normal at midday Monday after the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office bomb squad cleared two scenes where unattended objects raised concerns in the Lake Shore area Monday morning. 

Roosevelt Boulevard was first closed between Florida Community College at Jacksonville's Kent Campus and St. Johns Avenue after someone reported a cooler next to a JEA lift station. Police say all that was found inside was food.

Before that scene fully cleared, the bomb squad was called to a backpack left that the door of a church on St. Johns Avenue a few blocks away.

Just after 11:30 a.m., police said nothing was in the backpack the scene was clear the scene and all roads reopened.
