Police trying to ID Kangaroo store robber

ID also wanted for person of interest

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police in Jacksonville are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who robbed a Westside Kangaroo store Wednesday morning.

Police said the man went into the store at 4152 N. Old Middleburg Road at about 4:30 p.m. wearing white medical gauze over the lower portion of his face, a black garbage bag over his torso and a McDonald's bag over his left hand, as if he had a firearm in it.

The man approached the clerks and demanded money from the register, police said. They said both clerks backed away from the register, and the man took a cash box from the counter and left.

The robber got into the passenger side of a newer grey Cadillac and fled the area.

Police are also trying to identify a person of interest (pictured) in the case.
