RECIPE: Linda Weeks' Easy Gingerbread Dough

Ingredients:

  • 1 box "Spice Cake" mix
  • 3/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoon eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • Raisins for eyes & buttons

Directions:

  • Mix ingredients together
  • Add wet ingredients & stir with sturdy spoon until well blended
  • Chill covered at least 4 hours or overnight
  • Roll out between wax paper sheets- 1/4 inch thick
  • Remove top sheet - cut out shapes
  • Place on cookie sheet lined with parchment
  • Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 7-10 minutes, until center puff up a bit  & sink back
  • Cool completely
