JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Sen. Marco Rubio mades a stop in Jacksonville on Monday and talked about some hot topics.

The Republican senator spoke to members and invited guests at the Rotary Club of Jacksonville at the Omni Jacksonville Hotel downtown.

The main topic he tackled was implementing the Affordable Care Act. Rubio said he worries about the employer mandate and how it will affect small businesses. He said it could force some businesses to move full-time employees to part-time.

Rubio said it could mean a downgrade in coverage for these employees. He said he doesn't support a government shutdown, but said he doesn't want to fund the Affordable Care Act.

Jacksonville is just the first of many Florida cities he intends to visit. He's expected to speak in Panama City on Tuesday and Pensacola later in the week.
