JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 59-year-old registered sex offender was sentenced Monday to life in prison for one count of lewd or lascivious molestation of a child.
Herman Jacks was convicted earlier this month.

In 2012, the victim, now 17 years old, disclosed that Jacks had touched her inappropriately.
The investigation revealed that the abuse took place in 2008 when the victim was 10 years old.
Jacks is a registered sex offender. He was convicted in 2002 on a charge of lewd or lascivious battery.
