JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The St. Paul Church of Jacksonville on Winton Drive hosted its annual Thanksgiving giveaway Tuesday.

The church gave away hundreds of bags filled with Thanksgiving meals. Church members and volunteers stuffed the bags with cornbread, greens and other holiday favorites. Families lined up to collect the meals.
Church members told Channel 4 that the bags will serve 500 families throughout the Thanksgiving holiday. Senior Pastor John Gunns told Channel 4 their Thanksgiving meal giveaway has another reason this year.
"Interesting thing is our commitment is not only to give food away, but to also give hope away so we have a service," said Gunns.
St. Paul Church partnered with Kappa Alpha Si fraternity and Florida Blue for this year's event.
