A man was arrested on Wednesday morning after he stabbed an elderly man at a bus stop and was held at gunpoint by a good Samaritan until authorities arrived, according to deputies.

Thomas Thorpe, 50, has been charged in the stabbing at 8 a.m. on Orange Avenue and 6th Street.

Deputies said Thorpe stabbed the man and was held at gunpoint by a good Samaritan, who got out of his car when he saw what was happening.
