Police Say Man Was Shot Over Fake Drugs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An 18-year-old turned himself in Wednesday night on charges he shot and killed a 35-year-old man in what police said was a dispute over drugs.

Jamonnie Andrews is accused of killing Brian Givens after confronting Givens for selling him counterfeit drugs.

Police said Andrews pulled up behind Givens and Givens' brother at a red light on San Juan Avenue last Friday night, got out and started firing shots into Andrews' SUV.

Givens was hit several times, but managed to drive himself to a nearby fire station. He died later at Shands-Jacksonville Medical Center.

Givens' brother was not injured.
