Derek Queener, a retired Marine, was badly injured in the attack. He broke bones in his face and said he is still having trouble seeing out of his left eye. Queener says the attacker also insulted him after the attack.

Queener said he was riding his bike to work when he was attacked.

"If this would have happened to a 60 year old man riding his bike who maybe didn't do manual labor, didn't go to the gym, he could have been knocked off his bike, hit is head and hemorrhaged and died,” Queener said. “I don’t want anyone else to take that kind of hit because it was kind of brutal.”

A handy man working in the same neighborhood said the same car load of men pulled up to him and threw something at him. The handy man said the men in the car also yelled a racial slur.

Police are hoping the surveillance video of the car will help them track down the suspects.
