Jacksonvilel Sheriff's Office bomb squad called to investigate

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The bomb squad was called to investigate a suspicious suitcase found behind downtown grocery store Wednesday evening and several roads and the entrance ramp to the Mathews Bridge were closed until the area could be declared safe.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office received a call at 6 p.m. about the suitcase behind the Winn-Dixie on Market Street. The store was evacuated and the area was closed off.

Just before 9 p.m., police announced roads around the store and the ramp to the Mathews Bridge were closed. The bomb squad evaluated the situation, but did not provide any details about what they found.
