What do you see as the top three issues in this race?

Customer service, accountability, guarding the interests of Baker County and its citizens

  • Customer service -- utilize improved technology for easier public access while remembering personal face-to-face interaction can never be replaced
  • Accountability -- accept responsibility as the leader of the Clerk's Office and ensure proper management of office
  • Guarding the county's interest --  explore ways to improve the efficiency of the court system and always keep the county first as it relates to public funds and implement strategic planning for future productivity and savings

Why should people vote for you?

Since the Clerk of Courts serves a dual role as a court official and as comptroller for county government, I believe that my criminal justice education, law enforcement, supervisory, and court system experience, community service, as well as my career and board-appointed budget / audit experience all have prepared me to be the Baker County Clerk of Courts.

What do you hope to be remembered for after you leave office?

I would hope that people remember me as a man of passion and conviction who was always honest about the challenges we faced. I hope that voters will feel their support was rewarded by dedicated, capable, and honest service to the county we are all invested in and that I left office after making our community a better place to live and work.
