Brad Bernard out as EWC head coach

Defensive coordinator and former Bethune Cookman head coach Alvin Wyatt will take over as interim head coach

Headline Goes Here

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Brad Bernard has been relieved of his duties as head football coach at Edward Waters College.  Athletic Director Johnny Rembert announced the decision made Tuesday is effective immediately.

EWC Defensive Coordinator Alvin Wyatt has been named interim head coach until further notice.

Wyatt is the winningest coach in Bethune-Cookman history.  He led BCU to its first two Division 1-AA (now FCS) playoff appearances in 2002 and 2003.

Alvin Wyatt has been on the Edward Waters College coaching staff for one year.  Rembert says Wyatt will serve as both defensive coordinator and head coach at least until the end of the season.
