Jaguars release DT Roy Miller

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars have released ninth-year DT Roy Miller, the club announced today.

Miller, 29,  spent the last four seasons with Jacksonville, appearing in 50 games with 49 starts, after originally being drafted by Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He was limited to six games last season after tearing in Achilles tendon on Oct. 23 against the Oakland Raiders.

Releasing Miller saves the Jaguars a little over $3.5 million.
